The RAMD Date Palm Congress 2026 will welcome Mr Mustapha Abdellaoui, agricultural engineer and specialist in agricultural and rural development, with more than 20 years of professional experience in the agricultural sector.

A dual scientific and agronomic background

He holds a National PhD in Plant Biology and a State Engineering Degree in Agronomy, specializing in plant production, from the National School of Agriculture of Meknes.

A career at the heart of the region's agricultural institutions

He has held several positions within the ORMVATF (Regional Office for Agricultural Development of Tafilalet) and the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Drâa-Tafilalet, notably as Head of the Agricultural Value Chain Development Division.

Projects backed by major international donors

His track record includes coordinating and implementing agricultural and rural development projects supported by the World Bank, IFAD, the European Union and the Millennium Challenge Account. He has also contributed to projects dedicated to developing and adding value to the date palm sector in Errachidia Province.

The regional institution's voice in an international congress

Between the grower and the market lies a decisive link: the institutional framework that funds, organizes and supports the structuring of value chains. That is the link this session represents, in the very territory where the congress is held.

What this session can bring

  • understanding the public support schemes available to the date sector;
  • seeing how a regional project is designed, financed and monitored;
  • positioning date palm within the agricultural strategy of Drâa-Tafilalet;
  • connecting private initiatives with territorial development programmes.

See you on October 1, 2026 in Errachidia

Alongside expertise from Iraq, France, the United States, Mexico and the UAE, this session anchors the congress in the institutional and territorial reality of the Moroccan sector.

Registration for the RAMD Date Palm Congress 2026 is open to all professionals in the sector.
